Chastity Programs

Authentic Love and Sexual Integrity

(Suggested time allotment: 1 hour and 15 minutes)

God wants us all to experience authentic love, but what is love anyway?  And how can you tell the difference between love and lust?  LIFENET’s presentation, “Authentic Love & Sexual Integrity” is designed for teenagers and young adults, and explores God’s magnificent plan for love, marriage and sex.  This presentation is based on scriptural teaching on true love and on how living a life of sexual purity leads us to love authentically. Though a desire to live out purity sometimes requires us to struggle, it always leads us to be true to ourselves and to our ultimate happiness.  This upbeat presentation provides young people with strategies to stay pure and tools to resist peer pressure; it is peppered with interactive demonstrations and real life stories of people who made a decision to embrace sexual purity (and are so happy they did!)

This presentation can also be modified to fit into a classroom period or other specified time period.

True Love Waits*

(Suggested time allotment: Five 90-minute sessions)

This in depth chastity empowerment program is designed for 7^th grade students and up.

Session topics are:

Session 1: Family, Marriage, and Sex

Session 2: Heart Watch/Dangers of Pornography

Session 3: Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

Session 4: Life is Precious

Session 5: Making a Purity Decision and Standing Firm

Free to Love*

(Suggested time allotment: Five two-hour long sessions)

This is another in-depth chastity empowerment program for high school age students and older.

Session topics are:

Session 1: Languages of Love

Session 2: Daughters of the King/What Does it Mean to be a Man

    (Single sex sessions)

Session 3: Authentic Love v.s. Counterfeit Intimacy

Session 4: Consequences, Consequences

Session 5: Waiting and Dating

Both True Love Waits and Free to Love are designed to be presented once a week over the course of 5 weeks and both culminate in an opportunity for the young people to make a pledge of chastity “from this day forward.” These programs can also be incorporated into a retreat format.

Sanctity of Human Life Programs

Building a Culture of Life

(Suggested time allotment: 1 hour and 15 minutes)

This presentation for teens and young adults reveals the beauty of life and the dignity of each human person. It explores the history of abortion in the light of other human rights issues, the scientific understanding of the development of the baby in the womb, and the effects of how abortion hurts the baby, mother, father and the whole family. This presentation equips students with the facts and resources to help a friend in an unexpected pregnancy situation and to choose life. Delivered in the light of God’s mercy, students are also guided to empathize with those who have been hurt by abortion and to help them find healing. Young people walk away inspired to become advocates for the babies in the womb and in so doing help to build a culture of life. Babies are alive today because their moms heard this presentation!

This presentation can also be modified to fit into a classroom period or other specified time period.

Defending the Unborn

(Suggested time allotment: 1 hour)

This presentation is a crash course in pro-life apologetics and is a follow up to the Life is Precious presentation for students and adults who want to learn how to graciously and persuasively answer pro-abortion rhetoric with irrefutable scientific facts.

Programs for Parents

Helping Teens Make Healthy Choices

(Suggested time allotment: 1 hour and 15 minutes)

Despite today’s out-of-control popular culture we live in, parents still have the biggest impact on reducing their children’s risk-taking behavior (premarital sex, drugs, alcohol use, etc.). This presentation empowers parents with the latest information about how casual sex is impacting our young people and discusses why teenagers need their parents to talk to them often about the meaning of the gift of sex and the importance of saving sex for marriage. Parents are given practical strategies for helping their teens avoid risk-taking behavior, which can have long term consequences.
